If you reside in Mainland Portugal, Autonomous Regions of Madeira and the Azores; if you are Portuguese, of Portuguese descent or have dual nationality, and reside in any other country in the world, and are going to travel abroad, even if temporarily, you must register in this Application.
In case of emergency (natural catastrophe, alteration of public order, accidents) the Application allows you to be located and contacted more easily.
If the country you are in is affected by any of the situations mentioned above, you can be contacted, namely through the Portuguese consular posts which, in coordination with the country's local authorities, will provide useful information.
This Application allows you to receive useful information and advice about each country where you want to travel.
The Traveler Registration Application is intended for those who travel or travel for short periods abroad. Registration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is voluntary, easy and free.
The personal data entered in the Application is used by the General Directorate of Consular Affairs and Portuguese Communities, which guarantees its security and confidentiality.
Anyone who signs up for the Traveler Registration Application:
- Receives safety recommendations on mobile equipment whenever the situation in the country visited so justifies it.
- Receive information about security conditions in the countries you want to visit.
- You have access to contacts in the event of a serious crisis in the country you are in.
- It can be located through the georeferencing service.
- You have access to information about the countries: security, useful information, diplomatic and consular representations of Portugal.
- Record your trip with details of cities and places to visit.
- Has access to last minute information.
- Answers to frequently asked questions.
- Quick connection with the Consular Emergency Office in case of crisis
- Updated information on countries, regions, cities or places to avoid.
Registration does not imply any obligation for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to intervene. The information received is not binding, it only serves as indications and advice, and is subject to change at any time. Neither the Portuguese State, nor diplomatic and consular representations, can be held liable for damages or losses to persons and/or goods arising therefrom.”
Registration is voluntary but must be rigorous and truthful. In case of suspicion of false information, the user account will be closed.
When travelling, the user should consider subscribing to an itinerary contract with their telecommunications operator.
